German L-Spatz Sailplane
Restored by Chad in 1989 and flown for 50 hours, several flights over 5 hours duration and 7,000 ft altitude gained. L/D ratio 29:1. Excellent characteristics and ability to stay up in weak lift conditions.

Steel tube fuselage. All wood wing, 15 meter span (49.2 ft.) One of the few early sailplanes with easy "single pin" assembly. Donated to the AAA-APM museum in 2001, on display in main building.
